Garrett McGannon

Advisor & Programming Assistant

Garrett McGannon serves as an Advisor and Programming Assistant with the Boulder Council for International Visitors, continuing his long-standing commitment to citizen diplomacy and global exchange. Previously serving as BCIV’s President and Board Chair, Garrett helped shape the organization into a more visible and agile nonprofit, advancing international dialogue through partnerships with the U.S. State Department’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP).

Having started with BCIV as an intern before leading the board, Garrett now works closely with leadership to support delegation programming, strategic initiatives, and community partnerships. He is a steadfast advocate for BCIV’s mission of "Collaboration Without Borders," believing the most lasting diplomatic connections happen around dinner tables, in classrooms, and across local communities.

Outside of BCIV, Garrett is a CU Boulder alumnus currently pursuing his J.D. at the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law. He is a Spanish speaker, avid traveler, and loyal Denver sports fan who values great conversation and genuine connection.
